About the event
Young Rangers is a volunteering opportunity, open to young people aged 13-17 which can be used as your Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering if appropriate.
What to expect: This Young Rangers session is an opportunity for young volunteers (age 13-17) to join in with practical conservation tasks on the canals project. Activities will include scrub removal to expose valuable marginal canal habitat.
Meeting point: Fromebridge Mill Pub carpark. Fromebridge Lane, Whitminster, GL2 7PB. Meeting point: SO 77021 07364. What3Words: transit.gullible.filled
The entrance to the carpark is accessed via the A38/A419 roundabout near Whitminster. Upon entering the carpark please turn right and park away from the pub. There is ample parking.
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes and sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Please check the weather forecast and bring waterproofs, warm layers, sun hat, sun protection and insect repellent as appropriate. We will be outside for the whole session, and you will need to carry your own things. Please bring a bottle of water and a snack.
