WeeklyHere at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, we have a Trainee opportunity to come and work with our Land Management Officers, assisting the team with practical works on nature reserves across the Forest of Dean district. With dedicated support and training you will have the opportunity to undertake practical tasks on reserves, whilst learning and absorbing knowledge and information from your mentors.
You will receive a substantial amount of internal training, covering habitat management, species identification, surveying, leading volunteer groups and interview training. The work you do will help restore and improve natural habitats for wildlife whilst providing you with the experience and skills necessary to pursue a career in UK wildlife conservation delivering nature’s recovery.
This opportunity is on a fixed term basis for one year, three days a week. Although working across a number of sites, this role is mainly based in the Forest of Dean, so it is essential to consider the location and travel commitment before applying for the opportunity.
