Nature-based solutions

Our vision is for a natural world in recovery, where nature-based solutions are tackling the climate crisis.

Nature-based solutions are actions that protect, manage and restore natural ecosystems in order to address societal challenges – think tree-planting or wetland habitat creation in the upper catchment to slow the flow of water and reduce the threat of flooding downstream. We're also working with landowners to improve soil health and resilience, reducing the need for fertilisers, and also expanding hedgerow networks.

Restoring wild places will also revive the natural richness we all depend upon, making our lives happier and healthier.
