The plans include the creation of an indoor café and a visitor centre area displaying information about Robinswood Hill. There will be dedicated facilities for the dozens of people who volunteer with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust each week and improvements to the facilities available for the school groups. In addition, community spaces will be available for hire.
Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust will continue to share the site with the Gloucester City Council countryside rangers who maintain the park and other sites around the city.
Local residents have provided feedback about the plans developed by Childs+Sulzmann Architects, which were approved by Gloucester City Council's Planning Committee on January 8th.
