A career ecologist and environmental scientist, I bring many years of experience in leadership and governance across UK in universities and government agencies and globally in international development roles. I’ve held senior advisory positions in environmental science policy and application and chaired multiple boards focused on strategic, evidence-based environmental management. My career includes ecosystem-scale conservation projects in Indonesia, sustainable forestry initiatives in Guyana, and civic climate action in Bristol, all of which involved working closely with communities to drive nature’s recovery.

Having lived in north-west Bristol for the past two decades, I’m well-acquainted with Gloucestershire’s landscapes through walking, horse riding, and leading local field trips for professional societies. I hope to contribute my understanding of strategic environmental planning and local conservation issues, along with a dedication to building public appreciation of the essential role of nature in wellbeing. As a trustee, I would hope to support the Trust’s goals in connecting people with nature and ensuring Gloucestershire’s natural heritage thrives for generations to come.
