With an upcoming general election on 4 July 2024, GWT have been working hard to ensure nature is on the political agenda.
It’s no secret that we all depend on nature. It’s also no secret that nature is in crisis, with the UK one of the most nature-depleted places on earth. But the momentum for change is growing rapidly. Governments around the world are declaring nature emergencies and recognising that they have a huge role to play in tackling the nature crisis. As we head towards a general election, it’s more important than ever that we urge all parties and their candidates to take decisive action for nature before it’s too late.
