Frances Halstead wins Gloucestershire's Green award at the 2024 Make a Difference Awards

GWT's Nextdoor Nature Project Officer, Frances Halstead, has won Gloucestershire's Green award at the 2024 Make a Difference Awards, hosted by BBC Radio Gloucestershire!

Frances has consistently delivered outstanding work, connecting people with nature and wildlife in meaningful ways. We couldn’t be prouder of her well-deserved success!

Frances is a garden enthusiast who works with communities in deprived areas to improve green spaces.

This year’s winners were presented with their awards at the Make a Difference Awards ceremony which was hosted by BBC Points West’s Steve Knibbs on Saturday. It's the third year the awards have been held to recognise heroes in Gloucestershire.

As Nextdoor Nature Officer, Frances brings life and community to green spaces across Gloucestershire, encouraging communities, including minority communities and people with disabilities, to get involved with transformational micro-projects to help nature thrive and make the places where they live, work and visit greener - so that everyone can benefit.
